Sometimes all you need is a bit of inspiration to get you started in the right direction.
We should be so happy to have another year to grow and become the best version of ourselves.
Last year (2019) taught me to value my time and show up in life.
Saying goodbye to loved ones, opening up to vulnerability and the feeling of discomfort in your current space shouldn’t stop you from achieving your goals and passions.
Last year really did make me realise how precious each second is.
Even though the year was very kind to me in more ways than one, I still felt the need to write this and try to provide you with inspiration and hopefully a story which will shift your mind into a positive space.
My Goal was to start the process of leaving behind my 9-5 grind, or 10-6 in my case and start living a so called dream life where I could choose my own hours, my own pay cheque, my own uniform and make the necessary decision which would create my future.
The discovery and the power of an educational system provided me with some of the answers towards my freedom.
During my journey I quickly realised why other people struggled to reach the same successes…
The answer?
People love making up excuses as to why they can’t succeed in life.
Either they are “too busy”, “too old”, “not talented enough”, nor “born in the right country”.
They either have a poor background, don’t think they are smart enough, have no support from loved ones or simply don’t believe they have the ‘time’.
They’d come up with excuses like:
I don’t know if I will succeed..
It’s not something I think I could do..
Nothing like this ever works for me..
I don’t learn things very easily..
I don’t know how to do techy things..
I don’t know how to handle failure..
I’m not ready..
The list goes on and on…
Excuses! Excuses!
Look…
I didn’t have special talents when it came to working online, I’ve never been particularly lucky and yes I was also told I wasn’t going to make it very far in life when I was in school as well..
But none of these factors have stopped me from pushing forward with my goals, ambitions and desires!
In fact it has helped me become the person I am today and I don’t regret anything in my life!
I made the DECISION to believe in myself!
I found the time and grasped every opportunity with both hands (YES you can fit an hour or two in a day to learn and implement as you do)!
Now the reason why I’m writing this to you today is so that you can realise how much more YOU CAN DO with YOUR life.
Chase your dreams and live YOUR passions!
Make this year YOUR YEAR and don’t be afraid to encounter fear, failure and some of the hardest times of your life because (and trust me here) no successful person has made it without experiencing life’s mistakes along the way!
Simply learning more will fool you into thinking you’re making progress, when in fact it’s simply a buffer from taking action.
Look at your situation from a different perspective, this could be the key to your success.
How to start the ball rolling?
– Recognise, accept and let go of any ego you may have.
– Remain grateful for every learning (whether good or bad), as it’s a chance to grow.
– Empower yourself and TAKE ACTION.
Until next time, remeber – You are in control of your life and the path your choose to walk!
